When an auditorium is renovated, operators often choose more legroom and premium seating. Fewer seats fit, and a switch to recliners can cost around half the capacity. The new seats also need different step depths and heights. The common answer is to demolish the risers and build new ones.
That can almost double the cost of a renovation. It also means a longer closure and lost revenue.
The On-Step solution
The On-Step is built around your existing riser structure. The seats adapt to the steps, not the other way around.
Because each row can be made bespoke, the seat loss comes down to around 30% on average, depending on the size of the auditorium.
