The study
This is a design study for a six seat private cinema.
Soft pale grey velvet. A star ceiling. A warm glow along the plinth. And a projector that stays completely out of sight.
Calm, intimate, and built for the people who will actually sit in it.
Look at the walls
The niches are where the room comes alive.
Each one is lined in bronze and lit from within. Each holds a single slender African wooden sculpture.
The art is not decoration added at the end. It was part of the design from the very first drawing. The proportions of the niches, the light inside them and the colour of the walls around them were all chosen for those pieces.
